Since August 2022, I’ve stood behind the counter. Steam rising, queue building, sleeves rolled, living the tempo of the café, rhythmically toggling between espresso shots and smiles. That’s where it began. That’s where I caught the beat. Now I’m ready to lead the song.

What started as learning to make a latte or perfect the soft swirl of cold foam has morphed, day by day, into something else entirely. A low-level buzz in my chest whenever I clock in. A second nature awareness of flow, bottlenecks, mood, morale, and milk. I’ve learned so much while simultaneously calling out drinks and taking initiative through performing tasks. Sometimes that’s what excellence looks like in the green apron. There’s beauty in the chaos. Harmony, even.

I’ve worked the slow lulls where time crawls, and I’ve gritted calmly through the back-to-back mobile orders that just don’t stop. Somehow, spirits were kept up when the floor felt heavy, all while holding it together when things teetered on the edge of overwhelming. There’s a kind of steady gravity in being the person others quietly rely on. Not flashy, not loud, just solid. That’s where I shine.

Becoming a Shift Supervisor? It doesn’t feel like a leap. It feels like clicking into a groove I’ve already been moving in: quietly and reflexively. Not a spotlight moment. More like ambient motion. The kind where you’re rebalancing the floor mid-shift without announcing it, glancing at the queue and reshuffling positions before the lag hits, plugging holes in the vibe before anyone names them. A weird sixth sense, maybe. Or muscle memory born from repetition. Leadership, to me, is less about volume and more about presence. Like walking into the room and everything breathes easier, partners stand a little straighter, the chaos feels somehow less sharp. Titles are fine. But impact is silent, and I’ve already been doing it.

I care about the store deeply. The people. The vibe. The way a regular’s drink is ready before they speak, the way a clean lobby tells a story about standards, the way a well-run shift hums. That’s what I want to help uphold, protect, and push forward.

Thank you for your time and for considering me. I would love the chance to keep serving—not just drinks, but consistency, stability, and momentum as part of the store's leadership team. Let’s talk soon.
